Welcome! I'm hoping that my blog can take on the personality of an old-fashioned quilting bee. A place where quilters can share. Through my experiences, and through yours, I hope we can create an environment of encouragement, support and plenty of new ideas. Quilter's Imaginatioin started out as a hobby that I shared with my mom. One day, on a whim, I had made some Jewel Box quilt blocks and wondered if anyone would buy pre-pieced quilt blocks. I listed them on an auction site and sure enough, they sold right away. I made another set, and another set and they just kept selling. I was pretty excited and figured I may have found a way to fund our hobby! At that time we were avid hand quilters. No machine quilting for us! Well, to say the least, we no longer had time to devote to hand quilting and sew as much as we wanted. That's when I stumbled onto a video of the "magic" longarm quilting machine. I had mom watch the video and when it ended she said, "we need one of those." LOL Having never seen or operated one, I began researching. Most expensive whim I ever had!! I ordered my first Tin Lizzie, it came, mom and I sat it up (took us three days), and I quilted my fist quilt. This was our Quilter's Imagination at work. We never looked back and we still love it today. We do have a different machine now, but more on that later. We are still just a mom and daughter loving what we do. We specialize in longarm quilting and pre-pieced quilting items such as blocks, tops, table toppers and wall hangings. Professional longarm quilting is currently a two week turn around time.
